From Misty:

Hey we miss yall. Whats going on?? Holler at me, we need to come visit! Love, Misty

It has seemed like forever since I seen you. Steph and I are coming to Dallas 10th thru 15th of this month. I have some things I have to take care of, but I will make my way there one day. I will give you a call. You know my number; I still use it in Canada. Tell your Husband I said hello.

From Nigel and Lisa Harris:

Congratulations on being ESPN's play of the week! As diehard Stamps fan recently moved to enemy territory ( Saskatchewan ), I was wondering if I could bother you for a signed autograph for my wife, Lisa. You are her favorite Stamp. Additionally, as I still kept my season tickets and cannot use them all, perhaps there is someone from your charity who could use them? We would be interested in donating as well in the future. Best of luck this season...keep it going!! Best, Nigel / Lisa

I would first like to say thank you, and that I would love to be able to use the tickets. Second, I will be able to get your wife an autograph, but I will need to know how to get it to you. Thank you for supporting the charity and I should have some more info on it soon. Keep supporting the Stamps.

From Carey Baker:

Nik, Todd Marshall just sent me an attachment of a radio interview you did in Calgary . I'm very impressed by how carried yourself. It is especially gratifying to see you giving back to the community. The great thing about being a parent or a coach is seeing a young person grow to maturity in spite of all the things you did to screw them up! I'm very proud of you. God bless you! Carey Baker

Coach Baker, It is good to hear from you. I am glad that I am making people proud. I haven't heard from you in a while, and I was wondering where you are coaching at now? I hope everything is going well for you.

From Steven Dingman:

I was sent your radio interview yesterday with the "this is your life",great interview. I really enjoyed your presence on the radio and what you are doing outside of football- we are very proud of what you have accomplished. You forgot to tell them that your favorite part of college was beening an intramural basketball official(HA). As your advisor and dept. chair I pulled file from storage to see what you need to do to finish your degree. You only need 36 hours plus student teaching. I have instituted some on-lines classes and you could take two courses on-line if you want to get back into it. Great job - really enjoyed the ESPN Top 10 catch the other night. Best of luck

Thank you for the heads up. I would like to know what classes I could take online? I do plan on finishing up sometime. I was also wondering if I could do some student teaching other places and have it count as hours to go to my Degree. Now, that I live in Fort Worth I will be able to come down there and talk to you about finishing up. Thanks for visiting the website. I always knew I had the best Advisor.

From DC Chandler:

Have no idea if you will get this but I just wanted to say what's up. You sure are kicking some ass up there. Any chance you will make it to a SAU game this year? I seen Melancon's folks at a wedding last weekend and we were talking about getting together for a game this fall. Keep up the good work. D.C. Chandler

I did get it, and I don't think I will be able to make it to a game this year. My bye week this year is coming up in a week and the season hasn't started yet. It is good to hear from you. Where are you at?

From John Bland:

Nik It was good talking with you the other day. I am glad you are doing well and continue to have success on the football field. I appreciate you sending an autographed picture for my office. It will always be used to keep me motivated to coach and inspire young men to play, especially in the small school atmosphere. The address is John Bland University of the Cumberlands 7192 College Station Dr. Williamsburg, KY 40769 Thanks again and stay in touch Coach Bland

I will send off the photo in the next couple of days, so it should be arriving by next week at the latest. I am glad that I can motivate you and your athletes. I can still remember your speach the day before our first game my freshman year. You are a great motivator yourself.

From Canadian all the way:

Hey Nik, I caught your interview on the FAN960 this morning, and I was really impressed with your character. Thanks for sharing a bit of yourself with your fans. Good luck against Hamilton tomorrow night! It's been exciting to watch you guys over the past few weeks. How are you feeling about your slightly different role on the team this year?

When you wrote this we were doing different things. My role on this team has changed a little, but in a positive way. I have started to take a role where I can make a difference in almost every play. I just come down and block more linebackers and defensive ends. I have noticed that it helps me keep my focus on the game more. With this website and the radio it allows me to show people who I am more then just reading a newspaper.

From Shayne Owen:

Nik glad to see you doing great,I knew your dad Sammie and your grandad.Your dad when i was in grade school in Jacksboro was the fastest guy in person i ever saw.I watched him win the 440yd. Dash State Championship and also watched him return a interception 104 yards for a Touchdown and i still have that on film.My dad Coach Owen coached Sammy all thru High School.Your grandad was a great man and I know Henry and Nancy Richards thought the world of him and your grandma. When we left Jacksboro in 1970 your grandad helped us move. He drove the U-HAUL Truck from Jacksboro to Byers Texas for us and i was thrilled to death cause i got to ride all the way in the big moving truck with him.Jacksboro has played a big part of my families lives and The Lewis family was a great big part of it.I never get to Jacksboro much any more but be sure and tell your grandma and Sammie Shayne Owen said hello.Good Luck !

First I would like to say thank you, but My Dad is Lee Ray, Sammie is my Uncle. My mom is Faye Lewis. People still remember how fast Sammie was. My Granddad was great and he contributed a lot to everyone that he knew. You are just one of the many examples of him helping others. I am glad that he made a positive influence on your life. I will be sure to tell Sammie and my grandmother you said hello. It was nice to hear from you.
